Algore on a Gulfstream again - hypocrite! - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

I wonder how many Carbon Credits he'll have to buy to offset that footprint?

Yeah, and the PETA whackos are now harassing him for eating hamburgers. The methane gas from cow farts is supposedly the single largest contributor to greenhouse gases - even greater than that of internal combustion engines.

I gues the old adage about people living in stone houses not throwing stones is appropo here.

Now worries though, Algore will just use some of the millions he has made being a global warming whore, and the earnings from his family's massive Occidental Petroleum holdings to buy more bogus Carbon Offsets.

Actually, some money from such carbon offset is used to burn methane from landfills to CO2 and use the heat produced either in a co-generation plant or to produce electricity.

Believing or not in global warming is not even the issue anymore. Your way of living will be jeopardized by the cost of energy if dependant on oil. Better use any incentives available to promote alternative sources of energy. Al Gore is making difference more toward than against this objective to me.

How can you KoolAid drinkers keep protecting Algore? He is a super rich guy who pays off people to be "carbon neutral." Why don't you ask why he doesn't sell his hugh mansion in Tennessee and buy a 1,500 sq.ft. house with all the modern efficiencies? The low power company there reports his house (just him & Tipper) uses more than 100x the amount of electricity as their average residential customer.

Of course, if you overlook that, you'll also overlook that the Gore family's fortune was and still is based on holdings in Occidental Oil.

Don't let any of that bother you, though. :roll:

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer.
