Gun Shop Salesman of the Month - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

Greetings:

While I'm not big-time into guns, I do enjoy an occasional visit to the local gun shops just to see the cool stuff, and squeezing off a few rounds when time permits. I couldn't believe what I saw in a place a little outside of Erie. On the wall behind the counter was three identical framed photos of Barack Obama. Each one was titled "Salesman of the Month" - one for November, one for December, and one for January. LOL. :smt005

I get the feeling he'll hold that dubious distinction for quite a while.

Because I'm cheap, I buy my ammo at Wal-Mart. A stop at the local Wal-Mart yesterday for a stock of 9 mm target shooting ammo gave a real surprise - there was no flavor of 9 mm ammo at all. Most of the other ammo was sold out as well. Today, I went to a Super Wal-Mart on the other side of town. Sold out.

Hmmm... wonder what's up?

I've seen that too. What p***es me off is listening to guys in there (customers) who voted for Obama trying to tell me Ihave nothing to worry about... while they're stocking up on handgun ammo. I don't trust 'em.

What can officially make a non-electric paintball gun capable of shooting burst or auto? I plan to get the Tippmann 98 custom and heard from a friend, who also has the same gun, that he plans to buy something that can make his gun fire in bursts and in automatic. What is this object if there is such a thing?

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
