Can use the same H1B Visa - RF Cafe Forums

15, 2005 3:12 am Hi All
I used to work in the US as a RF
Design Engineer between 1999 and 2001 on a H1B visa. After the economic
downturn due to 9/11, I went back to my home country and my H1B Visa
expired in 2002.
I am very much interested to come back to work
in the US again. Is it possible for any prospective employer to re-activate
my H1B visa which will enable me to return to USA on the same H1B visa?
Or do the prospective employers have to apply for a brand new H1B visa?
Would appreciate some feedback on this.
I have been applying
to many companies in the US but so far haven't had any calls yet! Is
the economy and job market for RF Engineers down currently? How is the
situation in Canada?
Thanks, rgds

am The job market is up, at least in my area (Mass.). I beleive
you need to reapply for the visa. We just hired someone, but he had
an existing visa in which we transferred.

info. Well, I have to keep applying and hope that the organization is
willing to process H1B.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
