Here in Canada we have
a B.Eng, a B.Sc (Eng) and a B.A (Eng). Is there such thing as a B.Eng.
designation in the U.S.? I have only seen B.Sc. and B.A. (Eng) on job
sites. Will an employer look at a B.Sc. (Eng) roughly the same way as
a B.Eng. grad?

Dude, do not hassle with the PEO dogs in Canada.
A while ago they distributed the power in 120V/25Hz/DC format, that's
their expertise. In Canada you can be only overeducated or undereducated.
With PhD they will retrain you to taxi driver. My personal experience,
95% of the Canadian projects are completely screwed up. Not by engineers,
but by internal politics and young managers. They completely miss practical
experince a let you do your work when everything is stuck. :lol: Pack
your stuff and vote with feet.

You don't even need a PEng to do anything
!
That is for power and control guys.
Why would you need
a PEng to work in the commercial market ?
You are not signing
anything.

You must be from a school that does not grant the BASc. From Ottawa
?
Canadian schools have the BASc, Bachelor of Applied Science
and then some have the BEng.
The BASc, is like a BSc EE in the
USA, Bachelor of Science. The BEng, I am not really sure what that means
exactly, so I can't tell you.

dude. I have Masters from Vienna.
The Canadian market is dull.
Depends whom you know and brown-nose. Engineering practices are not
on the fore-front as claimed. They design switched power supply. That's
it. Practical knowledge of RF is missing, everything is purchased from
US or China. I wasted my time teaching there.

canadians, like the british that created
them, love butt kissing and titles and knowing so and so. everything
is nortel related, who u knew there, who your manager was and so on.

right. Nortel is financed from taxes
and RIFs. And the british milk it. Not avoidable company, hen-house
for teen engineers. Good hiding spot for talkers. The older work.
