I have received multiple annoying, unsolicited recorded phone
messages today from a job site called Electrical Agent. After the third
one in a few hours, I filed a complaint with the FCC. I encourage
you to file FCC Form 1088, too.
Yes, my phone number is listed
in the federal Do Not Call list.
I am utterly sick of these
headhunter websites and agencies intruding on the privacy of people.
They pass resumes and personal information around without regard for
clearly printed copyright notices and warnings against distribution.
They employ companies who send web bots out to download every page on
websites in search of resumes to steal, and then charge other companies
for the information that they stole.
If there is a lawyer out
there in the audience (maybe a patent lawyer), is there any kind of
massive class action lawsuit that could be mounted to put these scumbags
out of business? This has been going on for a long time, but the
Internet has really provided a fertile hunting ground for unscrupulous
recruiters.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
