The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Did you see the "feedback" section of the latest (Feb 2006) edition of MW&RF? Mini-Circuits took the editors of the Product Data Directory (PDD) to the woodshed for a lick'n for omitting them in the printed version. I can only imagine the grief they doled out in the not-so-public venue.

Since Mini-Circuits basically owns all the major RF magazines (RF Design, High Frequency Electronics, Microwaves & RF, etc.), because of the domination of advertising, they must really have been torqued for being dissed by MW&RF.

That's the problem with allowing yourself to be sold out too much to any one entity. It's true for many things, including employers.

Yeah, saw it. I think MCL is the 800-pound gorilla in the RF industry. From what I hear they always get their way. Goota say I wish I owned them. Sure wouldn't want out operate out of NYC though.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
