The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

I had couple of years ago a phone interview with Nokia Japan for a position of RF Design Engineer. The positions in Nokia varies according to their location. The "core design" is being done in the US, China, Finland and Denmark while at other places the design is more like testing and verification of the work being done in the places I mentioned.

The interview wasn't hard, they are focused on what you have done so far in your previous jobs, if you are a new grad then they will probably ask you about the basics of Microwave and RF.

Good luck!

I have worked at both Nokia and Qualcomm in san diego.
Nokia interviews are usually simple and straightforward (compared to interviews in which they grill you). I think it is decided by how good of a fit it will be.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
