DC area The Army Research Lab (ARL) is looking for Engineers with
the following backgrounds; Directed Energy, Antenna Design, High Power
RF Design. The work involves theory, research, experimental modeling
and design, analysis, and characterization of specialized high power
RF /Directed Energy systems and EM effects. High power RF work includes
RF sources, antennas, modulators, power conditioning, diagnostics, and
mode converters. DE work includes pulse forming networks and components,
hard tube and semiconductor switches, inverters, energy storage and
protection devices. You must be a US Citizen to apply for this position.

the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
