The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

2. Prior experiences in polar transmitter technology, transceiver architecture definition, and simple circuit level design are desired but not required.
3. Strong wireless communication background. Must have in-depth knowledge in filter design, DSP algorithm development, modulation, and demodulation techniques. Understands ISI and fading channel conditions and design challenges. Basic understanding of information theory and coding theory.
4.Good understanding about the trade-offs between common transceiver architectures. For example, direct-conversion, very low IF, and super-heterodyne architectures.
5. Basic understanding of transistor models and operations.
6.Must be fluent with Matlab or Simulink. Familiar with SPW, Verilog, Virtuoso, and AMS is a plus
7. Familiar with the operation of the test equipments, for example, R&S CMU200, FSEA, FSIQ, and Agilent 4440

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
