Skyworks interview questions - RF Cafe Forums

Guest Post subject: Skyworks interview questions Posted: Tue May
17, 2005 8:07 am Got an interview coming up with Skyworks in a couple
weeks. I have about 5 years experience with GaAs amplifier design, but
think the position is more for Si, like transceiver work, maybe antenna
switches (HEMT). Any "insider" information available for types of questions
that will be asked? How are these guys (and gals) to work with? I want
to stay in the area (no relocation), so they fit my needs pretty well
- just want to make sure I fit theirs.
How about pay to expect,
benefits, vacation? I know it is taboo to ask that at the interview,
so again any insider info would be appreciated.
So any scoop
you guys can provide will be much appreciated. Thanks.

As far as benefits, go to their websites, most companies will post it.

I looked, but they don't give
specifics like how many vacation days, sick days, etc. I'd also like
to know how good their health plan is. I have a family of four (2 kids),
all relatively healthy, but some companies really cheap out on health
benefits these days. I especially hate HMOs.
How about stock
options?
So, any insider info would be apprecaited. Thanks.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
