Apr 23, 2005 9:12 am Just lost a potential job because I didn't
have any experience at Wireless LAN/WAN. I have multiple years (25+)
working in radio, know digital microwave well, and wireless in general
very well, Contractor for Harris MCD currently, Time to get some training
on some new stufff, Anybody have input on some on-line/on-site training
for wireless LAN/WAN, WiFi, WiMax,, this may be where the bulk of new
jobs will be coming from
I appreciate the input in advance..

I know that United States Telecom Training Institue (USTTI) has that
training and its subsidized-www.ustti.org.
Also try www.tonex.com
and www.hott.com. The last 2 are good but not cheap

2005 12:33 am I just checked out the tonex website but from what
I can see, it is no different to what I learnt at uni. All theory
which anyone can learn on without having to pay $6000 - $1 = $5999.
Just seems ridiculous unless your company is paying for it all.

to find out if the classes have practical sessions?
The other
addresses are www.traininghott.com and www.ustti.org. Try the latter
its run by the US gov
Else search the web. Good luck

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
