Location: San Jose,CA Full/Part Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary:
Regular Job Description KLA-Tencor is seeking a senior electrical
engineer to develop analog subsystems. Recent experience with detailed
analog circuit board design and layout for low noise in a mixed signal
environment is required. Must be able to specify and design system interconnections
including signal integrity and shielding concerns. Previous experience
with complex electromechanical systems, and with low noise, high voltage
circuits and systems strongly desired. Candidate must be able to work
effectively with PCB [printed circuit board] layout and assembly vendors
to deliver prototype hardware on expedited schedules. Experience with
CPLDs [Complex programmable logic device] or FPGAs [field programmable
gate array] using Verilog would be a plus. This position provides great
technical challenges, along with the opportunity to work with project
teams comprising experts in the variety of technologies inherent in
Scanning Electron Microscope instruments. The successful candidate will
create specifications and then creatively use new and existing technology
to design electronic subsystems to meet those specifications. Use of
rigorous design methodology will ensure that designs are thoroughly
tested, well-documented and able to meet demanding performance, manufacturability
and reliability requirements.
Qualifications/Education Desired
BSEE minimum MSEE preferred 10+ years of experience developing
commercial electronic products Fluent with standard electronic design
and simulation tools (Orcad, PSpice preferred). Excellent lab skills
using standard analog instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers)
and ability to troubleshoot technical problems on complex electromechanical
systems are required. Must be able to work with minimal direction
in a fast paced environment

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
