i have recently graduated with MSEE and
i had an interview from sprint Alamosa for RF engineer position. the
guy has asked me to fill an application which was emailed to me after
phone interview, which i did and he said he is gonna come back to me
the next day with an email which hasn't happened yet (counting today
it's been 4 days).i was wondering if anyone in this forumn has any idea
on what's happening to me? phone interview wasn't really that technical
at all and it was more of a HR round.
thx in advance

StaffingPosted: Sun Feb 12, 2006 12:31 pm Welcome to the amazing
world of HR in the 21st. Every company I have interviewed with since
being laid off from Cingular (Dec 02) seems to have the same HR practice.
Submit information, wait, phone interview, wait, possible second phone,
wait, face to face, wait. It's a rare Manager that can actually make
a hiring decision without having to consult up the chain. Get used to
being micro managed if you make it past the initial stages of this process.

Did you get any update after your phone interview? Did you have
an onsite? What are the questions they target during the onsite interview?
Please let me know. I am expecting an interview call from them.
Thanks a ton.

Sprint purchased Alamosa, so you might check back to see what jobs are
now open.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
