Hello guys,
DOes anyone know where to find
a table of minimum bend radii for coaxial cables?
I have seen varying specs for RG-58, RG-57, etc,
so I don't know which is the best.
I need
to make absolutely the tightest bend I can get away
with becaise of cramming stuff into a small enclosure.
I also don't have the right test equipment to check
to see what harm I do with a too tight bend.
Any thoughts? Thanks.

The minimum bend radius for RG-58 is 1.2inches.
For RG-59 is 1.5 inches.
A rule of thumb
is 6 x cable diameter for RG-xx
Refer to
Wiremold Corp for their white paper.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
