Hi,
I thought I'd ask this question.
I am conducting some out of Band IM analysis for
a site that has some 800 MHz, UHF and VHF transmitters
and I am seeing lots of hits on the UHF and the
VHF channels. I know that these are theorethical
hits and that most of them would look like noise.
Does it make sense to analyze all 3 bands together
or should I look only at the In-Band IM ?
Thanks

Hello Zak77,
If by IM you mean intermodulations,
the only crucial ones are those appearing in the
in-band.
The others will be anyway much
lower and can't disturb the signal.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
