Hi Everyone, Does anyone know where can I find
an RF/Microwave Power Amplifier in the range of
1-2.5 GHz up to 500 Watts. I found major manufacturers
that they sell them but nobody even has it for sell
either. Nothing readily availbale. My Frequency
of interest is at 1.5 GHz and 2 GHz. Any help would
be appreciated.
Thanks,

What on earth are you going to do with that much
power at those frequencies ?

Hi, That's a good question. I am trying to qualify
one of our parts that is able to carry such high
power at that frequency. I can not say where would
it be used but it is for space, millitary application.

Well that answers the "what on earth...." part of
my questions. Thanks.
If all you want to
test is power handling then the 2500 MHz part of
your quest is easy... get a $30 microwave oven from
walmart. They are 600 W or so.
As for your
whole frequency range, your question is way out
of my areas of knowledge. I expect someone here
will answer your question soon. Good luck.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
