Military Service Photos of RF Cafe Visitors - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

-- Amateur Radio
-- Anecdotes, Gripes & Humor
-- Antennas
-- CAE, CAD, & Software
-- Circuits & Components
-- Employment & Interviews
-- Miscellany
-- Swap Shop

Greetings:

In case you have not seen the link on the RF Cafe homepage, I have begun a page dedicated to military service members (past and present) that visit RF Cafe. This offer is open to members of the armed forces of all countries. Mr. Tom Eastlake initiated the effort by submitting a photo of himself as a US Navy sailor on the USS Nimitz, sitting in front of a Univac 129. Please send your photos and text for posting.

Greetings:

Two new additions for the USAF MPN-14 & TPN-19 mobile radar shop were added today. Thanks to Mike Paris and John Cope for sending info. Hopefully, photos will be forthcoming from them, too.

If any others of you have military service photos of yourself with your equipment, please send it to me and I will be glad to add it (them) to the "Military Service Photos of RF Cafe Visitors" page.

** 2006 3rd & 5th Mob Radar Shop Reunion **

Mike Parris is contacting former radar shop members to see if there is enough interest in getting a reunion gathering together to make it worth putting forth a serious effort. He says many people he knows are interested, and a couple that have contacted me are, too. Please e-mail Mike at dfwcowboy@verizon.net to let him know if you want to attend.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The Internet was still largely an unknown entity at the time and not much was available in the form of WYSIWYG ...
