Phased Array - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Hi every body,

Does any body know whether HFSS is capable to simulate an infinite phased array?
The problem is that how can I include the phase difference between
sources in unit cell setup.

Thanks

At the bottom of the HFSS lists (below 'Field Overlays') there's a tab marked 'Radiation'. If you right click on it, you can set a regular array, and you can set the number of antennas in here, as well as a phase distribution.

cheers,

ap

Microstripes, 3D EM solution would be more suitable for phased array application.
