RF Antenna Measurement - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a device that can be attached to an antenna to determine when it is transmitting or not.

The background is I am trying to design a system which will display a light to show that we are transmitting through our RF antenna, without placing anything on the wiring.

As I have limited knowledge I am not even sure if this is possible. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

if you simply need an rf indicator and can see the antenna, try a 10 cent neon bulb tied to the top end of the radiator. if there is enough voltage(60 volts or so) then it will light...........dave behee
