fresnel zone - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Of all the formulas I have seen for calculating the fresnel zone of a microwave link, I have not seen an explicit account for antenna types. It would seem that if you have a highly directional antenna with a narrow beamwidth, the fresnel zone would be much different than say a typical sector antenna with.
