printed yagi array in HFSS - RF Cafe Forums

Hi,

I am trying to simulate a printed Yagi array (i.e., multiple Yagi antennas on a common substrate) using HFSS v9.2. I want to study the mutual coupling effects and the radiation pattern. I am not sure I can use the array synthesis tool because, in my structure, the Yagis are not oriented in the same direction. I tried specifying 1 port for each Yagi and thought of looking for the S21 parameter. But I get a value of -280dB, irrespective of the spacing (even when 2 Yagis overlap!!). Also, when I look at the radiation pattern, I get the pattern of a single antenna only, even when there are 2 Yagi's. The pattern that I obtain is that of the antenna for which I defined Port 1. The pattern of the other antenna (with port 2) doesnt seem to be calculated!!

Can any one help me with this??
