satelllite earth station - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

HI Im a base jumper. who wants to know more about am antennas. There is a satellite earth station nearby that has a huge dish and also a 600ft square transmitter tower next to it. the tower is painted white and red and has a platform at the top with a few circular drums on top. i need to know if it definately is an am antenna and if so, what the safest way of climbing it is. any advise would be much appreciated!
