I'm looking for a CAD freeware to create one 3D
design for an electronics enclosure. It has to be
capable of handling one of the following file types:
Pro-Engineer, Solid Works, AutoCAD, .STL, .STP,
.IGS

Hi! You might check out the free version of Alibre:
www.alibre.com . They give away free licenses
to a limited version of their program. Good
Luck! Fred

Not exactly what you're looking for, but I've found
this software to be very handy.
http://www.download.com/Free-DWG-Viewer ... ag=lst-0-1
It's a free DWG viewer, supports CAD, Iges,
dwg, dxf and more. Somewhat related to this post.
Hope it helps somebody. I use it every day.

If you work regularly on 3D designs i will suggest
using solidworks. It is expensive though.
