3g UMTS max input signal level - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

I am trying to design a 3G (W-CDMA LNA) MobileUnit. I need to find out the p1dB at the input to deisgn the circuit properly. Does anyone know the exact maximum signal in the receive path?

Thanks

You might try looking at transceiver ICs from Skyworks, RF Micro Devices, Renesas, etc., to see what their specs are. That should get you in the ballpark. Otherwise, you can get the 3G test spec and derive the value from it.

I have TG25.101 specification. Section 7.4 in that is very vague and I don't understand it. I do all else! Thanks
