DC block suing Transmission lines - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Hi guys...I am the same guy asking question about stubs, etc. I have another question and I will appreciate if someone can answer this question for me. I am working at a frequency where I don't have good enough capacitor so I can't use caps for DC block/AC coupling. How do you get DC block using transmission line. Like quarter-wave is AC choke, what's DC block? Thanks

Use an xacto knife and cut the the transmissionline in half. If you want to get fancy you could a interdigital gap or edge or broadside coupled gap.
