LNA (equivalent noise resistance parameter) - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Hi,

I'm using the following transistor for an LNA design:

http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/pip/BFG520W.html

I can get the s-parameter blocks from the website, but don't know what to use for Rn - the equivalent noise resistance parameter. Does anyone know how to read this off the datasheet? (say for 900MHz)

Some vendors give noise data at the end of the .s2p files, e.g. NEC do. Philips obviously don't.

Thanks
