PCB manufacturing tolerances - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

We are a manufacturer of RF modules in Ku band. The shift of conductor edges in PCB manufacturing is very important for us(as you know it leads to change in trace width, stub length,....).To avoid tuning in our production line the shift must be less than 10 microns(This leads to 20 micron shift in trace widths - with 10microns for each side).
As far as we know this shift is due to lithography and etching tolerances.does anyone know an Rf PCB manufacturer who meets our requirements. Is there any idea about other manufacturing error resources.

thanks
