Microwave frequency planning tool - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Dear Adi,

I am using PathLoss 4.0 since two years, and i have worked on connect and some other planning tools.

But i found that PathLoss is good among them because it os user friendly and very easy to understand and with good relaiablity.
Frequency interfernce modules, refraction modules, diffraction, reflections, all we can consider in this tool.

I agree Pathloss is good, but in a competition held by Ericsson 4 years ago (yes, a long time in this game I know) IQLink by Comsearch beat PathLoss and Ericsson's own tool on most significant functionalities

PathLoss is very good tool to work on.
I have used Pathloss, CONNECT(Aircom) and NetAct Planner(Nokia).
Reliability calculations of Pathloss are quite reliable.

Here is a handy Execl-based utility which may be of a great help
