Surplus Equipment Rack for Sale - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

Greetings:

RF Cafe visitor Duane Hamilton asked me to post this picture for him of a used equipment rack that is in good condition. A photo of the rack is posted at the bottom of this message. Duane lives in Topeka, Kansas, so you will know how far you have to drive to pick it up.

It appears to be a 19" wide, full-height (44U) rack.

Per Duane:

I would like to find an amater who would be intrested in this cabinet. It reminds me of amateur radio in past years . If I were 20 years younger I would use it; however, I am 79 and I do simpler projects now.

I would like to fined someone who can appreciate its finish (Krinkle) and appearance. Preferably it could be used for old time amateur radio (AM).

I have been connected with amateur radio since I was 15 years old. I started in the back room of a radio wholesale business after WW2 when the men were coming home from war. We were just getting our amateur frequenceis back for use after the war. I was first licensed in about 1951 when I was in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. I was a radio operator/electronics tech. The navy taught me the code and I loved it Most of my air time was spent on CW. I started out with a Navy TCS-14 that had been converted for amateur use. Been a long time since then.

I dont have any idea what it is worth. I just would like it to be appreciated as much as I do.

Please send me an e-mamil for more information:
