### FSK ID Transmission - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

Hi Folks,

We are looking at designing a radio translator and I need to know the protocol for how the FSK ID is sent. I know that the RF signal is shifted +/- to encode the data, but what is the encoding standard? I have seen "morse code" - which doesn't quite make alot of sense yet.

Is there an FCC standard or something like that that I could read. Does anyone know of an FSK ID Reciever to test the transmission?

Thanks
