New to systems design - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

I have been designing components like mixers and amplifiers in the 1-2 GHz range for about 4 years and due to a contract change will be focusing on system level design (commercial radar). I have seen a numbe rof posts on RF Cafe about radar so hopefully someone can direct me to a few good books, papers, and such for system planning, design, testing.

Can you tell me some titles and sources? Maybe some personal advice you could post here. Others beside me would be able to benefit from your experience. Thank you all.

Hi Ahem
For radar systems, one of the standard works I used was Skolnik, but it is now rather dated and no doubt out of print.
I think the title was (rather unimaginatively) Radar Systems Design.
