RF levels from a cable modem ? - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

I have a copy of a modem test. It is just the RF testing results from a modem test. You can see the SND results with a value of 34.1. The DS stands for downstream. I found a lot of sites where they explain SINAD measurements but I don't know how to interpret those SND results in a modem test?

RF levels:TX Level 47 in dBmV RX Level -7.2 in dBmV DS SND 34.1 US Unerror Codewrds 173 DS Unerror Codewrds 1508655581 US Error Codewrds 0 DS Error Codewrds 48857 US Frequency 20600000 US Spectrum 5-25
