A Few Great RF & Microwave Engineering Articles for September 2016
|
Many years have passed since I last did a PCB layout. The world
has changed considerably terms of simulation capabilities as nowadays designers often need to perform
carefully modeled electromagnetic and thermal simulations to help assure a first-pass success. Companies
spend big $-¥-€-£-₩-₨-₱-₫ for software licenses in order to reduce product cycles. The
first story in my list addresses some related issues. Items move onto and off of all homepages quickly,
so even if you visit Microwave & RF, Microwave Journal, Microwave Product
Digest, High Frequency Electronics, et al, regularly, you might have missed something
in the list below.
Here is a complete list of all featured
RF & microwave
articles in 2016.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
