Z-Communications, Inc. - Press Release 11-12-2007

Series of L-band Coaxial Resonator Oscillator Deliver Extremely Low Phase Noise for Satellite Communications Applications

Featuring: Ultra low Phase Noise, Linear Tuning, RoHS

SAN DIEGO, November 12, 2007: Z-Communications, Inc. is proud to announce the introduction of their new series of lead free, RoHS compliant, single frequency coaxial resonator oscillators (CRO1210A-LF, CRO1240A-LF, CRO1270A-LF, CRO1300A-LF, CRO1330A-LF, CRO1360A-LF, CRO1390A-LF and CRO1450A-LF) in L band (covering the frequency range from 1210 to 1450 MHz) offering extraordinary low phase noise (typ) performance of –118dBc/Hz @10kHz offset. Their unique design offers a linear tuning sensitivity of about 3 MHz/V (typ). Each one of the VCOs has a tuning voltage of 0-5 V. They are designed to deliver about 3dBm output power (typ) at 5Vdc supply while drawing less than 30mA (typical) over the operating temperature range of 0º to 50ºC. These VCOs are ideally suited for applications that require single frequency, linear tuning and excellent phase noise performance.

These CRO series VCOs come in Z-Communications’ industry standard MINI package measuring 0.50 in. x 0.50 in. x0.22 in. These amazing VCOs are ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow. They are available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. Furthermore, this technology is available for a reasonable price of $29.95 given their unsurpassed quality and unbeatable performance. For further information on these CROs or any other VCO/PLL product from Z-Communications, please contact our sales department via e-mail at sales@zcomm.com or call us at 858-621-2700 or you can visit our website at www.zcomm.com.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
