ACS Announces Release of LINC2 Filter Pro v1.18

Applied Computational Sciences LINC2 Filter Pro 2009Escondido, CA, September 27, 2009 -- ACS has recently released a new version of its LINC2 filter synthesis software. LINC2 Filter Pro version 1.18 adds new capabilities for exporting design and analysis data to other programs. This new version can send filter analysis data, including frequency response data, to Excel and other programs for creating user designed charts and custom documentation of filter performance. CSV files can be automatically created that capture the filter’s s-parameters or other performance data (such as group delay and attenuation characteristics). Also included in this version is the ability to preview filter performance while entering and editing design specifications in the filter Design Specifications Form.

Distributed filters implemented in microstrip and stripline can automatically be rendered in both schematic and layout windows. For layout file transfer to other programs, DXF export capability is available from the layout viewer. LINC2 DXF layout files can be translated to Gerber format for PCB fabrication. Microstrip and stripline filters can be analyzed with the built-in circuit simulator or automatically exported to Sonnet’s EM simulation program for precision electromagnetic simulation (Sonnet Lite is included free with purchase). The wizard-like GUI quickly and effortlessly guides the user through the process of entering the specifications for the automatic synthesis of a wide variety of filters, including lumped and distributed filters in both single-ended and differential configurations. LINC2 Filter Pro is one of many circuit synthesis programs seamlessly integrated into the LINC2 suite of RF and microwave electronic design automation (EDA) software.
