Z-Comm Introduces the CRO2900A-LF Ultra Low Phase Noise VCO
SAN
DIEGO, October 2, 2008: Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant coaxial resonator based VCO
(Voltage-Controlled Oscillator) model
CRO2900A-LF in S-band. The
CRO2900A-LF operates at 2900 MHz (single frequency VCO) with a tuning voltage range of 0.5-4.5 Vdc. This VCO
features a typical phase noise of -115 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 9 MHz/V.
The
CRO2900A-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 3.5 dBm at 5 Vdc supply while drawing 19 mA
(typical) over the temperature range of -10º to 75º C. This VCO features typical 2nd harmonic suppression of -16
dBc and comes in Z-Comm’s industry standard MINI package with shield measuring 0.50 in. x 0.50 in. x 0.22 in. It
is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The
CRO2900A-LF is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.
CRO2900A-LF is well suited for satellite communication applications that require great linear tuning and ultra
low phase noise performance. Additional specifications for this product can be found on-line at
