Reno, Nevada -- October 7, 2009 -- EM Research introduces the
SLS-2100, a frequency synthesizer optimized for telemetry applications with extremely low phase noise (<-127
dBc/Hz @ 100 KHz, typical). The serially-programmable synthesizer performs over the frequency range of 1900-2100
MHz with a step size of 100 KHz and fast switching speed (750 uSEC), and can be custom-designed to operate, fixed
or programmable, at any L or S band frequency. The unit features an optional internal reference, operating
temperature range of -30°C to +70°C, output power of +8dBm, low spurs (<-95 dBc) and operates on a supply voltage
of +12V @ 155 mA, typ.
The
SLS-2100 is designed to improve interoperability of telemetry applications and is housed in a ruggedized,
aluminum package of 1.5” x 1.5” x 0.6”, with female SMA connectors. The SLS synthesizer is ideal for use in satcom
receivers, test and measurement solutions, and as a local oscillator for up/down converters in telemetry
applications. Please refer to the EM Research website at www.emresearch.com for product and ordering information
