Phase Matrix Introduces a New 20 GHz QuickSyn Frequency Synthesizer

Phase Matrix QuickSynSAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Phase Matrix, Inc. announced today that a new 20 GHz QuickSyn™ microwave synthesizer will be introduced next week at the IEEE MTT International Microwave Symposium (IMS 2010) in Anaheim, California. This product represents a new generation of microwave frequency synthesizers based on a revolutionary, patented, phase-refining technology that provides a unique combination of fast-switching speed, very low phase noise, low spurious, and low cost characteristics. The FSW-0020 model covers the 0.5 to 20 GHz frequency range (extendable down to 0.2 GHz) with 0.001 Hz resolution. The product provides all major modulation capabilities (AM, FM, phase, and pulse), power leveling and control, frequency and power sweep, list mode, and many other functions. Specifications are available on the Phase Matrix website, www.phasematrix.com
.
Phase Matrix’s Vice President of the Signal Sources Group, Alexander Chenakin, stated, “This new model extends our QuickSyn™ frequency synthesizer product line in response to the need for wider frequency coverage. The improved performance, extended functionality, and small footprint make the QuickSyn™ synthesizer an ideal building block for a variety of instruments and subsystems.”

“This new product further confirms the technical leadership that Phase Matrix provides with its signal generation products. Although this 20 GHz synthesizer is a fraction of the size and cost of a traditional rack-mount instrument, it offers many of the same features,” stated Vice President of Sales, Rick Bush.

Phase Matrix, Inc. is an independent, privately held, California-based corporation, which was formed in 1999 by the purchase of certain assets of EIP Microwave, Inc., a long established test-and-measurement (T&M) instrument manufacturer.
