Fixed Frequency Synthesizer: SFS10000C-LF Features Ultra Low Phase Noise
Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant Fixed Frequency Synthesizer model
SFS10000C-LF
in X-band. The SFS10000C-LF is a single frequency synthesizer that operates at 10 GHz. This
synthesizer features a typical phase noise of -100 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz offset and typical sideband
spurs of -70 dBc.
The
SFS10000C-LF
is designed to deliver a typical output power of 0 dBm with a VCO voltage supply of 5 Vdc while
drawing 90 mA (typical) and a phase locked loop voltage of 3 Vdc while drawing 11 mA (typical)
over the temperature range of -40º to 85º C. This Fixed Frequency Synthesizer features typical
2nd harmonic suppression of -30 dBc and comes in Z-Comm's standard SFS-L1 package measuring
1 in. x 1 in. x 0.22 in. The SFS10000C-LF is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly
and is available in tape and reel packaging.
SFS10000C-LF
is an excellent choice for broadband transmission and fixed wireless applications that require
extremely low phase noise performance and superior 2nd harmonic suppression.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
