RF Cafe in Beantown (MTT-S IMS 2009) - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

Hey Kirt it was nice to meet you and your wife at the show. I've been an RF Cafe fan for a long time.

Yeah that historical display was awesome! I can't imagine doing design back in the days before computers for performing simulations and for driving CNC machines for carving out cavities to exacting dimensions. Even a lot of the test equipment had to be designed to make measurements since off-the-sheld VNAs weren't available. It's amazing what was done, like with the aircrft industry and so many other areas where America led the way.

Anyway, keep up the good work. Mamybe I'll see you again in Anaheim in 2010.

Hey Kirt I was there with husband (we are both engineers - him digital and me RF). I don't remember seing you. I think attendance was way down - makes me wonder if the number of people reported byMWJ was actual people that showed up or jusr registered. Vendors I spoke to said nusiness was really bad compared to last year. Guess it depends on who you ask. See you next year?
